about
"Stearcost ealra" is the second single from the upcoming new studio album "Wurdiz", set for release on September 9th through By Norse Music.
"Stearcost Ealra" is a powerful song about fate and destiny, and how both notions are the strongest of all.
'Do not fight. Do not resist your destiny. If you withstand that what already is, you will suffer a lot in your lifetime. Observe how your mind fools you to believe that you have a choice to go against the will of destiny, but that you know the truth deep down in your heart. This ‘knowing’, this inner voice, can be experienced as a feeling of realisation. Let it guide you, let fate come to pass.’

----
A weary mind cannot withstand, Fate is entirely determined
Thus fate came to pass
Stronger than any man’s advice, Fate goes ever as it must
Thus fate came to pass
Do not fight, do not resist, Fate is strongest of all
Thus fate came to pass

i like this version better than the original. The middle part has that aggression that makes the excellent balance with the beginning and ending of the song. owlobo

This might be my favourite of Heilung. They've improved a bit on their later releases but their debut is still much meaner, and darker. Maria's amazing voice obviously steals the show but I also quite like Kai's too, especially on the live performance. In fact I'd say get LIFA over this IMO.
The spoken word bits are really cool to hear proto-germanic in use but for relistening purposes they are going to be a bit obtrusive. Nevertheless the proper music here is on continual repeat for me. Rabbit
